Ingredients

  • 1 large can water chestnuts
  • 1 lb bacon
  • soy sauce
  • white sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Drain the water chestnuts and pat dry with paper towels.
  3. Cut the bacon strips in half.
  4. Wrap each water chestnut with a half slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick.
  5. Place the wrapped chestnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush or drizzle soy sauce over the bacon-wrapped chestnuts.
  7. Sprinkle with a little white sugar.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and browned.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
