Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup softened real butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons real vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Blend flour, baking soda, and salt in a bowl with a wire whisk.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the sugars.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, and vanilla to the sugar mixture.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the sugar and butter batter.
  5. Mix in chocolate chips, nuts, or a combination of your choice.
  6. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
  7. Use an ice cream scoop to form large, chewy cookies on a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 20 to 24 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.
