Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast
  • 1 cup broccoli, chopped
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped or crushed
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons dill weed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 packages Pillsbury crescent rolls
  • 1 egg white, beaten
  • slivered almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Chop cooked chicken breast and broccoli using a knife or food chopper, then place in a bowl.
  3. Add diced red bell pepper, finely chopped garlic, shredded Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, dill weed (if using), and salt to the bowl; mix well.
  4. Unroll the packages of Pillsbury crescent rolls.
  5. Use a roller or fingers to seal the perforations in each dough sheet.
  6. Place the unrolled dough sheets side by side on a cookie sheet.
  7. Seal the seam between the two sheets.
  8. Place the chicken broccoli mixture in the center of the dough.
  9. Using your hands, form a loaf shape with the mixture.
  10. Fold up the edges of the dough to cover the mixture.
  11. Cut slits in the top of the dough loaf.
  12. Brush the top with beaten egg white and sprinkle with slivered almonds (if desired).
  13. Bake for 25 to 28 minutes until golden brown.
  14. Remove from oven and cut into pieces. Serve and enjoy!
