Chicken Broccoli Bread
A savory chicken broccoli bread loaf with cheddar cheese and a crispy crescent roll crust, perfect for family dinners or potlucks, offering rich flavors and a satisfying texture.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chicken breast ⓘ
- 1 cup broccoli, chopped ⓘ
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped or crushed ⓘ
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese ⓘ
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons dill weed ⓘ
- 1/4 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 2 packages Pillsbury crescent rolls ⓘ
- 1 egg white, beaten ⓘ
- slivered almonds ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Chop cooked chicken breast and broccoli using a knife or food chopper, then place in a bowl.
- Add diced red bell pepper, finely chopped garlic, shredded Cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, dill weed (if using), and salt to the bowl; mix well.
- Unroll the packages of Pillsbury crescent rolls.
- Use a roller or fingers to seal the perforations in each dough sheet.
- Place the unrolled dough sheets side by side on a cookie sheet.
- Seal the seam between the two sheets.
- Place the chicken broccoli mixture in the center of the dough.
- Using your hands, form a loaf shape with the mixture.
- Fold up the edges of the dough to cover the mixture.
- Cut slits in the top of the dough loaf.
- Brush the top with beaten egg white and sprinkle with slivered almonds (if desired).
- Bake for 25 to 28 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and cut into pieces. Serve and enjoy!
