Ingredients

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 tsp. celery flakes
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. grated onion
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • 1 1/3 c. water
  • 1 1/3 c. rice (Minute, uncooked)
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika

Instructions

  1. Combine the cream of chicken soup, grated onion, celery flakes, pepper, salt, parsley, and thyme in a saucepan.
  2. Gradually add water and blend thoroughly until smooth.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Pour the soup mixture over uncooked Minute rice in a shallow casserole dish.
  5. Stir just to moisten the rice.
  6. Cover and bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until the rice absorbs most of the liquid.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
  8. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve with fried chicken.
