Chicken Cordon Conti features tender chicken breasts wrapped in ham and cheese, lightly breaded and baked to golden perfection, offering rich flavors suitable for elegant dinners or family meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole, skinned, split and boned chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 thin slices Prosciutto ham
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts lightly to flatten.
  3. Combine flour, salt, and pepper, then lightly dust the chicken breasts.
  4. Wrap each chicken breast with 2 slices of prosciutto and 2 slices of Swiss cheese.
  5. In a skillet, heat oil and butter over medium heat.
  6. Brown the coated chicken breasts on all sides until golden.
  7. Transfer the browned chicken to a baking dish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes until cooked through and golden.
