Chicken Curry(Makes 4 Servings)
A hearty chicken curry with a creamy mushroom and apple sauce, blending sweet and savory flavors, perfect for comforting family dinners or casual gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup chopped onion ⓘ
- 1 medium cooking apple, peeled, cored and chopped ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 2 tablespoons Blue Bonnet margarine ⓘ
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup ⓘ
- 1 cup half and half or light cream
- 1/3 cup A.1. steak sauce ⓘ
- 1 frying chicken, cut up ⓘ
- apple slices, for garnish ⓘ
- parsley sprigs, for garnish ⓘ
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, over low heat, cook the chopped onion, chopped apple, and curry powder in margarine until tender.
- Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, half and half or light cream, and steak sauce; set aside.
- Cut up the frying chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Serve the chicken topped with the sauce, garnished with apple slices and parsley sprigs.
