Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 medium cooking apple, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 2 tablespoons Blue Bonnet margarine
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup half and half or light cream
  • 1/3 cup A.1. steak sauce
  • 1 frying chicken, cut up
  • apple slices, for garnish
  • parsley sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, over low heat, cook the chopped onion, chopped apple, and curry powder in margarine until tender.
  2. Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup, half and half or light cream, and steak sauce; set aside.
  3. Cut up the frying chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  4. Serve the chicken topped with the sauce, garnished with apple slices and parsley sprigs.
