Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. chicken livers, halved
  • 1/2 cup seasoned flour
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Dredge the chicken livers in seasoned flour.
  2. Heat vegetable oil and butter in a large frying pan.
  3. Cook the livers for 4 minutes over high heat, stirring once.
  4. Add chopped onion and sliced mushrooms; season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes over medium heat.
  5. Pour in chicken stock; stir and cook for 4 minutes over low heat.
  6. Mix cornstarch with cold water; stir into the sauce and bring to a boil.
  7. Simmer for 2 minutes over low heat and serve with noodles.
