Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1/2 to 2/3 cup milk
  • 4 cups finely chopped cooked chicken
  • 2 stalks celery finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds toasted
  • 2/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons steak sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Cut in shortening and margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Sprinkle milk, one tablespoon at a time, evenly over the mixture.
  4. Stir with a fork just until dry ingredients are moistened.
