Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw rice, washed and drained
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 fryer or favorite chicken pieces
  • 1 package dry Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 1/2 cans water

Instructions

  1. Spread washed and drained raw rice in a buttered 2 1/2-quart size casserole dish.
  2. Lay chicken pieces on top of the rice.
  3. Sprinkle dry Lipton onion soup mix all over the chicken.
  4. Pour cream of mushroom soup and water over the chicken and rice.
  5. Cover with a lid.
  6. Bake at 325°F for 2 hours.
