Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 3 cups cooked cubed chicken
  • 4 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine chopped onion, chopped celery, and chicken broth in a saucepan. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. In a 2-quart casserole, mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, cooked cubed chicken, drained sliced mushrooms, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and cooked vegetables from the saucepan.
  3. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough over the casserole.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the top and return the casserole to the oven until the cheese melts.
