Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast
  • 1 medium potato, sliced into 1/8-inch slices
  • 1 medium carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium yellow squash, thinly sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped into 1/4-inch pieces
  • 1/4 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 4 fresh mushrooms, whole
  • 5 or 6 fresh pea pods
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. On a large sheet of aluminum foil, place the chicken and all vegetables in the center.
  2. Wrap up the ingredients securely, forming a good seal.
  3. Repeat this process two more times, ensuring all packets are well sealed.
  4. Place the foil packet directly on hot coals of a fire.
  5. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes on each side, turning occasionally.
  6. Remove from fire and carefully open the foil.
  7. Eat the meal directly from the foil.
