Chicken With 7-Up

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. chicken thighs or legs
  • 1 (16 oz.) bottle 7-Up
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 piece lemon
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 piece bay leaf

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken in garlic, soy sauce, sugar, salt and pepper for 15 minutes.
  2. Add 7-Up and lemon and let stand (covered) for 30 minutes.
  3. Place in a covered pan, add bay leaf and cook over medium to high heat.
  4. Let boil, then simmer for 20 minutes or until done. Garnish with spring onion.
