Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. softened margarine
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. chocolate extract (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 oz. chocolate chips
  • 6 oz. butterscotch chips
  • 2 c. chopped nuts (or less if desired)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°.
  2. Combine ingredients in the order given. Spread on cookie sheet.
  3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
  4. When cool, cut straight 2 inches wide lengthwise.
  5. Cut diagonally across the width.
