Chocolate Apple Bars
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour, plus ⓘ
- 3 tablespoons whole wheat flour ⓘ
- 10 tablespoons all-purpose flour ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon baking soda ⓘ
- 34 teaspoon cinnamon ⓘ
- 14 teaspoon nutmeg ⓘ
- 14 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 13 cup firmly packed brown sugar ⓘ
- 14 cup margarine ⓘ
- 1 cup unsweetened applesauce ⓘ
- 1 small apple, peeled,cored finely chopped ⓘ
- 10 tablespoons raisins
- 3 ounces oats ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat 350 degrees.
- Spray 11" x 7" pan.
- Combine both flours, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
- Set aside.
- Beat sugar& margarine till fluffy.
- Gradually add flour, alternating with applesauce till blended.
- Stir in rest of ingredients.
- Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Cut into 8 bars.
