Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup candied cherries, halved
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into a greased loaf pan lined with wax paper, then grease the paper.
  3. Bake in a 325°F (163°C) oven for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Allow the cake to cool for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove from the pan and peel away the wax paper.
