Chocolate Chip Tassies
Chocolate chip tassies are rich, fudgy bite-sized treats with a creamy cream cheese topping and gooey chocolate chips, perfect for parties, potlucks, or sweet cravings.

- For topping mixture, cream together cream cheese, beaten egg, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
- Stir in chocolate chips and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, 1 cup sugar, cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and baking soda.
- Add water, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Press the dough into miniature muffin tins or tart pans.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and spoon or pipe the cream cheese mixture on top of each tart.
- Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until topping is set and slightly golden.
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from pans and serving.
