Tips & Substitutions

For a richer flavor, consider using dark cocoa powder instead of the unsweetened variety. If you don't have butter, you can substitute with margarine or coconut oil. To ensure even baking, make sure your dough is of consistent size when dropping onto the baking sheet. If you want to add a twist, try adding a pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor.

Serving Suggestions

These delightful cookies pair beautifully with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee. For an extra touch, dust them with powdered sugar before serving or serve alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They make a lovely addition to dessert trays or can be enjoyed as a sweet treat during afternoon tea, complementing dishes like Ruth'S Crumb Cake.

Storage & Reheating

Store the assembled Chocolate Cream Cushions in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. If you want to keep them fresh longer, consider refrigerating them for up to a week. To enjoy them warm, you can briefly microwave them for about 10 seconds before serving.
