Ingredients

  • 1 quart Half & Half milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3.5 oz. milk chocolate squares
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla essence
  • 2 extra large eggs

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat milk with sugar to boiling.
  2. Once it boils, turn down the heat to low and cook, stirring often with a wooden spatula, for about 12 minutes.
  3. Add dairy milk chocolate, chocolate syrup, and cocoa powder.
  4. Using a wire whisk, mix well, making sure that no lumps of cocoa remain.
  5. Cook another 15-20 minutes, stirring frequently until the custard thickens.
