Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 tsp. sugar
  • 4 oz. butter
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and sugar together in a bowl.
  3. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse bread crumbs.
  4. Stir in raisins, beaten eggs, and milk to form a stiff batter.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of batter onto a well-greased baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake until golden, approximately 15 minutes.
