Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 6 ounces miniature marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine, sugar, and cocoa together until well blended.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Stir in self-rising flour, chopped nuts, and vanilla until combined.
  4. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan.
  5. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 40 minutes.
  6. Immediately after removing from oven, place miniature marshmallows on top of the hot cake.
  7. Prepare the icing as desired and pour over the still warm cake.
