Chocolate 'N Oat Bars combine crispy oats, rich chocolate, and crunchy nuts for a satisfying treat perfect for snacking, parties, or anytime sweet cravings strike.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsifted flour
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (14 oz) can Eagle Brand condensed milk
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 (6 oz) package Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (325°F for glass).
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, and softened butter; mix well.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of the mixture. Press the remaining mixture onto the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and semi-sweet chocolate morsels.
  7. Top with the remaining oat mixture and press down gently.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until light browned.
  9. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.
  10. Store covered at room temperature.
