Chocolate Nut-Date Balls

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. paraffin
  • 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 boxes confectioners sugar
  • 1 1/2 cans condensed milk
  • 4 c. pecans
  • 1 lb. dates, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix confectioners sugar and condensed milk until well combined.
  2. Add chopped dates and pecans to the mixture and stir thoroughly.
  3. Let the mixture set in the refrigerator until chilled thoroughly.
  4. Soften the paraffin in a double boiler.
  5. Add semi-sweet chocolate chips to the melted paraffin.
  6. Stir until the chocolate chips are completely melted and mixture is smooth.
  7. Form the date and nut mixture into small balls.
  8. Dip the balls into the melted paraffin and chocolate mixture, coating evenly.
  9. Place the coated balls on wax paper and let set until firm.
