Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2-1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 4 cups flour
  • 5 cups blended oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 24 ounces milk chocolate chips
  • 1 8-ounce grated Hershey bar

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter and sugars until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients: flour, blended oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing well.
  5. Stir in the milk chocolate chips, grated Hershey bar, and nuts.
  6. Roll the dough into balls and place them on a cookie sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 6 minutes.
