Ingredients

  • 12 large cucumbers
  • 8 green peppers
  • 10 medium onions
  • 4 Tbsp salt
  • 5 cups sugar
  • 5 cups vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp celery seed

Instructions

  1. Slice cucumbers and peppers lengthwise and remove seeds.
  2. Grind cucumbers, peppers, and onions with a coarse grinder.
  3. Add salt; let stand overnight.
  4. Drain the salted vegetables.
  5. Combine remaining ingredients (sugar, vinegar, celery seed) and pour over vegetables.
  6. Heat to a boil; simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Seal in hot sterilized jars.
