Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Combine the jellied cranberry sauce, sugar, white vinegar, minced fresh ginger, ground cinnamon, allspice, and pepper in a medium saucepan.
  2. Stir together the all-purpose flour and water until smooth.
  3. Add the flour mixture to the cranberry mixture. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
  5. Remove from heat and cool.
  6. Store the ketchup in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Serve with cream cheese and crackers.
  7. Pour over cream cheese.
