Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. margarine, softened
  • 1/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 c. corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 c. chocolate chips or chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, softened margarine, and brown sugar to make the crust. Mix until crumbly and press into the prepared pan.
  3. Bake the crust for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted margarine, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips or chunks.
  6. Pour the filling over the baked crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for an additional 15 minutes until the filling is set and bubbly.
  8. Let cool before cutting into bars.
