- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pans.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter or margarine and sugar until fluffy.
- Stir in the eggs, pumpkin, and water until well combined.
- Blend in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and ground cloves.
- Stir in the coarsely chopped nuts.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared loaf pans.
- Bake for approximately 70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
