Ingredients

  • 2 loaves fresh white bread
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Trim the bread and roll out until thin.
  2. Cream the cream cheese, egg yolks, and sugar until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture thinly over the rolled-out bread.
  4. Roll up each bread slice with the filling inside.
  5. Melt the butter in a bowl.
  6. Mix the light brown sugar and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  7. Dip each roll first in the melted butter, then in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  8. Place the coated rolls close together on a cookie sheet.
  9. Freeze the rolls until firm.
  10. Remove from freezer and slice each roll in half.
  11. Place the frozen halves on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes.
