A rich cinnamon-flavored layered torte with sweetened whipped cream filling, perfect for special occasions or as a decadent treat for cinnamon lovers.

Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups butter or oleo
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Work in the butter or oleo until mixture is crumbly and resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Beat 2 eggs and add to the mixture, mixing thoroughly.
  4. The dough will be very stiff. Divide it into thin layers using layer cake pans.
  5. Bake each layer until firm and lightly browned, then cool.
  6. Spread sweetened whipped cream between the layers.
  7. If desired, grate sweetened chocolate over the top to decorate.
