Decadent, fudgy brownies with rich cocoa flavor and crunchy walnuts, perfect for picnics or casual gatherings, easily customizable with frosting or additional mix-ins.

Ingredients

  • 12 Tbsp. dry cocoa
  • 2/3 cup cooking oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Mix cocoa, cooking oil, and vanilla by hand.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and stir until everything is mixed and the mixture is thick.
  3. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 11-inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 30 to 35 minutes.
  5. Cool slightly, then cut into squares.
  6. Leave in the pan until completely cool before serving.
  7. Frost if desired.
