Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 cup crushed pineapple
  • 2 cups chopped cooked ham
  • 2 cups sliced cooked yams
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped onion

Instructions

  1. Put butter and chopped onion into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  2. Microwave on High for 2 minutes.
  3. After 1 minute, stir lightly.
  4. Blend flour into onion and butter; stir in crushed pineapple.
  5. Cook, uncovered, in microwave on High for 1 minute or until thick.
  6. Stir crushed pineapple, brown sugar, and chopped ham into the sauce.
  7. Place the mixture in the center of an 8-inch glass dish.
  8. Arrange sliced cooked yams around the outer edge of the dish.
  9. Cover with wax paper.
  10. Heat in microwave oven on High for 6 to 8 minutes.
