Ingredients

  • 4 c. peeled and chopped apples
  • 1 c. coconut flakes
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. melted butter

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the peeled and chopped apples, coconut flakes, white sugar, flour, soda, chopped nuts, eggs, oil, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter thoroughly.
  2. This batter will be very thick.
  3. Pour the batter into a well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  4. Bake for 1 hour at 325°F (163°C).
  5. While still hot, spread the top with melted butter.
  6. Sprinkle with white sugar and cinnamon mixture.
