Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines golden sugar cookie mix
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp. coconut extract
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 1 egg white

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Empty both mix pouches into a bowl.
  3. Add egg white, coconut extract, and 1/2 cup of flaked coconut.
  4. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  5. Form dough into 1-inch balls.
  6. Dip each ball into egg white, then roll in remaining coconut.
  7. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Press a candied cherry half into the center of each macaroon.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the coconut is lightly browned.
  10. Cool for 1 minute on the cookie sheet before removing with a spatula.
