Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 8 cups thinly sliced cabbage
  • 2 cups corn flakes
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
  • 1 can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine ranch dressing, cream of celery soup, milk, and salt in a saucepan, then heat until warm.
  2. Meanwhile, cook the sliced cabbage in boiling water for 3 to 4 minutes, then drain.
  3. Mix corn flakes, shredded Cheddar cheese, melted butter, and chopped water chestnuts in a bowl.
  4. In a greased casserole dish, layer the cooked cabbage, hot soup mixture, and the corn flakes mixture.
  5. Repeat the layering process, finishing with a top layer of the corn flakes mixture.
  6. Sprinkle additional grated Cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
