  1. Soak salted dry cod fish overnight.
  2. Chip the codfish into a bowl.
  3. Add chopped onion, a dash of black pepper, plenty of thyme, and one stalk of scallion.
  4. Add flour and water to the mixture, enough to achieve a cake batter consistency.
  5. Let the batter sit for a few minutes.
  6. Heat a frying pan.
  7. Add enough oil to cover the entire pan.
  8. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
  9. Cook until golden brown, then flip once and cook the other side.
  10. Serve hot.
