  • 2 to 3 lb chicken, cut up
  • 2 to 3 c shortening
  • 3/4 c all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine flour and seasonings; roll the chicken in the flour mixture.
  2. Using a Dutch oven or other heavy deep pan, fry the chicken in shortening at 350°F for 15 minutes on each side or until tender.
