Ingredients

  • 1 large bag frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 10 oz. grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9 x 13 inch pan.
  2. Place frozen hashbrowns in the pan with grated cheddar cheese.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 2 tablespoons melted margarine, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture over the potatoes and cheese.
  5. Gently mix to combine with the potatoes and cheese.
  6. Combine 2 tablespoons melted margarine with crushed cornflakes to make the topping.
  7. Sprinkle the cornflake mixture over the potato layer.
  8. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  9. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
