Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. soda

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  2. Set aside the dry mixture.
  3. Put oleo, cocoa, oil, and water in a saucepan.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  5. Pour the hot mixture over the flour, sugar, and salt mixture.
  6. Add eggs, buttermilk, and soda to the mixture.
  7. Mix well until smooth.
  8. Pour into an ungreased cookie sheet pan.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
