Ingredients

  • 1 c. celery slices
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 1/4 c. ground oat flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 to 4 wieners, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can whole kernel corn
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Place oats in a blender and process for about 60 seconds to make ground oat flour.
  2. In a large pot, melt the margarine over medium heat.
  3. Add celery slices and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the ground oat flour and cook for 1-2 minutes to eliminate raw taste.
  5. Gradually whisk in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  6. Add the whole kernel corn (including liquid) and sliced wieners to the pot.
  7. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Stir in the prepared mustard and shredded Cheddar cheese until melted and well combined.
  9. Serve hot, garnished as desired.
