Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 whole chopped onion
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes and green chilies, chopped
  • 1 (15 oz.) can pinto beans
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. corn bread mix (6 oz.)

Instructions

  1. Brown meat with onions in a skillet.
  2. Add tomatoes and green chilies, pinto beans, and salt.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a 2-quart oblong casserole.
  4. Prepare corn bread according to the directions on the package.
  5. Pour the corn bread mix over the meat and bean mixture.
