Corn Bread Stuffing Side Dish

A flavorful and festive stuffing featuring cornbread, oysters, dried fruits, and nuts, perfect for holiday gatherings and those who enjoy a sweet-savory seafood twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Pepperidge Farm corn bread stuffing mix
  • 1 or 2 cans whole oysters
  • 1 package dried apricots, pineapple, and dates
  • 1 jar macadamia nuts, cashews, or pecans

Instructions

  1. Prepare the stuffing mix according to the package directions, substituting beer for water if desired.
  2. Place half of the prepared stuffing in a large greased 11 x 14-inch baking pan.
  3. Arrange half of the dried fruits, nuts, and oysters in rows or keep all fruits on one side, on top of the first layer of stuffing.
  4. Add the remaining stuffing over the layer of fruits, nuts, and oysters to form the top layer.
  5. Place the remaining fruits, nuts, and oysters on top in the same pattern as before.
  6. This dish can be prepared several hours in advance.
  7. Just before serving, warm in the oven uncovered.
