Corn Topped Meat Squares

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/3 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 (8 1/2 oz.) can creamed corn
  • 1 (7 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar or American cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine beef, crumbs, ketchup, onion, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings.
  2. Pat the mixture evenly in a 9-inch baking pan. Combine egg, milk and corn.
  3. Pour over meat.
  4. Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 35 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle cheese over top and bake another 5 minutes.
  6. Serves 4 to 6.
  7. Double recipe for a 9 x 13-inch pan.
