Cornbread Hamburger Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 (8 1/2 ounce) package cornbread mix
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed tomato soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 cup salsa
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon steak sauce
  • parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a 10 inch ovenproof skillet, cook the beef, onion, and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, and drain.
  3. Prepare cornbread according to package directions, and let stand for 2 minutes.
  4. Put in a 9x13 casserole dish.
  5. Stir tomato soup, salsa, ketchup, and steak sauce into beef mixture.
  6. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  7. Sprinkle with parsley.
