Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. In another bowl, combine butter, sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla.
  3. Add the wet mixture to the flour mixture and beat until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
  5. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°F.
