- Sprinkle cheese evenly over the bottom of the pastry shell.
- Top with drained and flaked crabmeat; sprinkle with chopped green onions.
- In a bowl, combine eggs, light cream, salt, grated lemon peel, dry mustard, and mace.
- Pour the egg mixture over the crabmeat in the pastry shell.
- Top with almonds.
- Bake in a slow oven at 325°F for about 45 minutes or until set.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
