Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 cup cooked crabmeat
  • 1/2 cup minced parsley
  • 4 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
  • 1/2 cup buttered bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 8 crab shells

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Blend in flour, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  4. Flake crabmeat and add to the sauce along with parsley and chopped eggs. Blend thoroughly.
  5. Fill greased crab shells with the mixture.
  6. Sprinkle buttered bread crumbs on top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
  8. Serve immediately.
