Cranberry "Dope" Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 to 3/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows
  • 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1/3 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 pt. whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Grind the cranberries and sprinkle with the sugar.
  2. Let stand for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Mix the crushed pineapple and marshmallows together and add the chopped walnuts.
  4. Whip the whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. Combine all prepared ingredients and gently fold in the whipped cream.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
  7. Serve at holiday times.
