Ingredients

  • 2 (10 oz.) packages frozen chopped spinach
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Microwave spinach in the box until thawed, about 6 to 9 minutes.
  2. Drain thoroughly and set aside.
  3. Place chopped onion and butter in a 1-quart casserole.
  4. Microwave until onion is tender, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Add cream cheese to the casserole.
  6. Microwave until the cream cheese is softened.
  7. Stir in salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
  8. Blend in milk.
  9. Mix in the drained spinach.
  10. Microwave until heated through, stirring once.
