Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower
  • 2 cups cubed canned ham
  • 1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sharp processed American cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup soft bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt 3 tablespoons of butter; stir in flour and add milk all at once.
  2. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  3. Add cheese and sour cream to the sauce and stir until the cheese melts.
  4. Combine the sauce with cooked cauliflower, cubed ham, and sliced mushrooms.
  5. Pour the mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish.
  6. Melt the remaining butter and mix with bread crumbs, then sprinkle on top of the casserole.
  7. Bake uncovered for 40 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
