Ingredients

  • 4 to 6 thick pork chops
  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/3 c. ketchup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. flour

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper the pork chops; brown them well in a skillet, then place in a baking dish.
  2. Combine ketchup, water, ginger, salt, celery seed, vinegar, sugar, and flour to make the sauce.
  3. Pour the sauce over the browned chops.
  4. Bake uncovered at 325°F for 1 1/2 hours or until tender.
  5. Turn the chops after an hour to ensure even cooking.
  6. Serve with a barbecued taste.
